This is the first song for the MC boys for the 2008 year.

Allen conceived of the song around the time of the New Year. He sent Jason an idea, and the ‘Monster’ grew from there.

Within about 4 days, Allen had the guitars recorded, the drums programmed, and the lyrics penned. With the arrangement and direction set, he made a quick tutorial to send to Jason, that he might learn the tune.

Jason felt that Allen had so much drive and direction for the tune, he opted only to play bass and not muck up Allen’s mojo.

Over the course of the following few weeks, Allen re-recorded his guitar parts, and re-mixed the drums. He then set to singing this new monolith of thunder. With his first iteration, both he and Jason agreed on the direction, but that something “more” was needed.

Allen set to the task of telling the story. He found some misc. sound clips, added some haunting background vocals and re-recorded his main track. The end result is a truly frightening journey into the psyche of a Monster never-meant-to-be. The turmoil inside the mind of a tormented “bag of bones”
