This song marks the official birth of Montgomery California.

A couple of months after Waste of Me was recorded and posted on macjams, Allen proposed another collaboration. This time doing another song of Jason’s called ‘Growl’.

Jason got to work on re-recording and re-mixing. Adding suggestions in arrangement from Allen.

It is worth noting that Allen’s skill in programming drums is the stuff of myth and legend! For this project, Allen appointed the drum task to Jason.

Having had many a conversation about his “secret recipe”, Jason set to work. Twelve hours of investment later, the drums were finished.

Jason then set about to writing lyrics.

Once Jason was finished with the guitar, bass, drums, and lyrics... off the track went to Allen.

Allen set to the task of adding guitar fills, leads and vocals. Utilizing brutal whammy technique and three-part off key vocal harmonies, he gave the song the true dirtiness it deserved!
